FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Q: What do you use to clean your jewelry that won't damage the wire or gems?
A: Our go-to jewelry cleaner is called Something New Jewelry Cleaner - it is safe on the gems and metal and is also non-toxic and biodegradable. If you don't have a cleaner, I would suggest scrubbing the piece by hand using dish soap and hot water. If you scrub soap into the piece, use something with a slightly abrasive texture (paper towels) to wipe away the soap - some tarnish will come off with the soap - then rinse with warm water and dry off.
  • Q: Do you offer wire wrapping classes or tutorials on your style?
A: Yes I do! I've been creating tutorial videos and sharing tips/tricks on my Patreon site: www.Patreon.com/innerorbit
  • Q: What happens if a wire or gem comes loose or is damaged in a piece that I've bought from you?
A: I offer free cleanings and repairs on my jewelry, so if anything is amiss with a piece you've purchased from me, please reach out and we can find a solution together.

  • Q: Do you draw your jewelry designs out before you build them?
A: For the most part, yes. I find it's really helpful to develop a few iterations of an idea before I cut wire and get to work. It's also very helpful for determining a successful layout for the gems that i'll be using and helps me make sure a piece has a balanced layout. That being said, I also make sure I allow myself to diverge from the sketched out design. Sometimes I will sketch a piece when it's halfway done so I can see how a few different *new ideas will look moving forward from that point. There are also times where I decide to make a free-form piece without sketching it out. There's a lot of freedom in this, but it can really go either way. Some are successful, while others feel more like experiments.

  • Q: How long should I expect to wait for a piece once I've placed an order?
A: I try to ship every order within 1-2 business days, and within the US I ship via USPS Priority mail which takes 1-3 business days. You'll be provided with a tracking number so you can keep track of your package.

  • Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: Yes I do! My minimum custom order for pendants is $500, and $150 for rings. If you're interested in getting a custom piece made you can email me at merricknoyes@yahoo.com with subject: Custom Order Request, and we can discuss further details. I take half of the total estimated cost as a down payment before I begin building your custom piece. The turnaround is typically inside of two weeks.

  • Q: Do you make anything besides pendants/necklaces?
A: Yes I do! Though I specialize in pendants and rings, I've also made brooches, earrings, cuffs, and two-finger rings - though these are usually via custom order.

  • Q: Do you have a go-to photo editing software that you use?
A: Yes, and best of all, it's free! It's called Snapseed and I use this for almost all of my photo-editing needs. It's easy to navigate and has a plethora or editing options - available in the App Store.
