It being late September when I made this piece, I wanted to make something to represent the season of fall that is now upon us. This moldavite leaf carving seemed very fitting for this project. As a nod to the changing color of the leaves I chose these fascinating multicolor sapphires whose colors flash between yellow-orange and red.
I wanted to give the moldavite leaf an exposed setting to depict a leaf clinging to its branch as the season passes.
